We bring you little round ups of cool stuff we've seen on the internet we think you might like. You know, just to keep you in the loop!
Our pals at Anorak Magazine are celebrating their 10th birthday this year. Double figures! They're preparing a special party edition of the magazine to mark the occasion and they want YOU to be part of it. For a chance to be featured in the anniversary issue and to win a heap of super-cool prizes, just send Anorak a happy birthday message. And the fun part? You can write it, build it, bake it, sing it, film it - create your message any which way you fancy! Submissions close on 15th September. You can find all the details you need here.
Look at these guys! Felt Mistress, aka stitcher and couture designer Louise Evans, works with her partner, illustrator Jonathan Edwards, to magic up some of the cutest, most bonkers and fabulously stylish creatures we've ever 'met'. Felt Mistress' new DIY book, 'Make Creatures with Felt Mistress: 12 Couture Characters to Sew' is out now. You too can whip up your own version of this cuddly crew! And... if you happen to be in Leeds before 21st September, you ought to catch the marvellous Felt Mistress character exhibition at Colours May Vary. See more from Felt Mistress and her fuzzy friends on Instagram at @feltmistress.
As London gears up for the launch of this year's London Design Festival, we're drawing up our list of all the things we want to do and see. 'Blend' by Raw Colour at The Aram Gallery is definitely on the 'to do' list. The Eindhoven-based design studio will bring their colour research to life in the exhibition, sharing products, colour experiments and interactive installations. The Fans (2014), as pictured here, show us how colour can be blended by motion. Dreamy, right?
This week we're leaving you with this. Five Minutes of PURE JOY. We invite you to get lost in the archives of My Milk Toof - a series of photo stories by artist Inhae Lee about Ickle And Lardee - two little milk teeth! (We can't promise you won't be enjoying more than five minutes of these... The kids will love them too). Enjoy!
Until next time...
