Let's go jaunting round the internet. You know, just to keep you in the loop!

If you go down to the Nevada desert today, you're sure of a big surprise! Popping out from the landscape in the brightest, boldest of colours and standing more than 30 feet high, 'Seven Magic Mountains' is a site-specific art installation by internationally renowned Swiss artist, Ugo Rondinone. The sculptures will remain in their spot 10 miles south of Las Vegas until 2018. That said, you'd be forgiven for thinking, 'The aliens have landed! And they've got really good taste!'

So, we'd only just recovered from the awesomeness of THIS super-cool marble/magnet extravaganza of a video, when we found this one. Hold on to your socks. They're about to get knocked off. Handcrafted by Swedish musician Martin Molin, the 3000-part Wintergatan Marble Machine took over a year to make. By cranking it up, 2000 steel marbles are set off on their merry way around the machine, activating a whole host of different instruments including a vibraphone, kick drum and bass. So very clever!

And talking of clever inventions... Our pals over at Mayku are about to revolutionise making forever with their fancy new machine, 'The FormBox'.

Powered by your hoover (yes!), The FormBox is a compact vacuum former that lets you make all sorts of 3D objects from all sorts of materials - at your desk! From concrete plant pots to customised chocolate bars, the world of making is your oyster. If you had The FormBox on your kitchen table, what do you think your kids would have you make first?

From her studio in Glasgow, illustrator Lesley Barnes creates the most magical worlds in which most magical things happen! Her work has appeared in marvellous kids' publications like Anorak Magazine and Okido and her first book, Jill & Dragon is available now. Lesley says, 'Jill & Dragon is a story with a sad dragon, a jealous dog, a small girl, a huge book and plenty of toast.' Sold!

See you next week for another round-up of cool stuff! Oh - and if you want to get in touch, you can email us at or better yet, come hang out with us on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest
